How ironic that Earth day was the very day the Parr family would win a monumental lawsuit against Plano-based Aruba Petroleum Inc. for the severe ailments and suffering caused to them by fracking near their home. They also reached settlements with several other companies involved with the fracking before the cases went to trial.
Parr Family Wins Fracking Judgment
Bob and Lisa Parr (and their young daughter Emma) all three suffered from severe ailments from rashes to nosebleeds as the fracking went on as close as 792 feet from their home. Aruba says it consistently met state regulatory standards for air emissions. Perhaps it’s time us to take a closer look at the safety of fracking. Dr. Mercola and I watched HBO’s Gasland in 2010 and were saddened (but not surprised) at the vast number of people in the US affected by fracking.
Lisa Parr is quoted in the article as saying
“My doctor, an internal specialist, found 20 chemicals in my body and he said, ‘Lisa you must move immediately. You will spend more time and money on hospitals, chemotherapy, and a mortician … and you need to get an environmental health doctor immediately,’ ” she said.”
The Parr raised cattle on the same land (that people then buy and eat their meat- I wonder how sick the cows were) but interestingly despite the experience the family says they’re still not anti fracking. Ahhhh only in America.
Editors note: many pictures you will see when searching for “Fracking” are of the corporation Haliburton on one its many fracking sites.
